When I arrived I was waiting for almost 30-45 minutes to check if I was aloud inside, I was left alone with no confirmation to allow me inside, The interior was in disrepair, wires could be seen hanging off the wall, the stairs carpets were barely holding together.And as soon as I entered the room I wanted to leave. The windows were broken and held open with toilet rolls, very untidy and the bathroom door was broken. Next time I wont bother....

Good value for budget traveller-friendly staff.
Busy hostel about 20 mins walk from centre. Friendly staff who were chatty. Hostel could do with a lick of paint and carpets were a bit bare, but it was fairly clean and tidy and the bathroom/room was cleaned daily. Nice walk into town as it is downhill and a few cheap bars on the way, heading back it's about a fiver from the centre in a cab. Breakfast was ok, cereal and toast and tea. Gladly although it was a cold spell the heating not on full blast, so it was not stuffy but warm enough. I have read other reviews and if you want 5 star pay 5 star money....otherwise this is a good budget option I would recommend. Thanks Everton Hostel!

Decent hostel in Liverpool
It wasn't the greatest hostel I've stayed in, but the environment was extremely friendly and the staff are great! Nice location not far from downtown and breakfast included!

Does the job
Stayed for 3 nights in a 4-bed mixed dorm. Service was so-so but it is certainly cleaner (room and washroom) than described by other reviews (maybe I lucked out). Very basic so you get what you pay for, and it certainly worked for me.

Choose it if you are really on a budget
Room was near the main road and there was traffic from time to time even during midnight; sound from corridor and upper floor just penetrate into your room; there was seemingly no heating facility in the bathroom (could not found a switch to turn it on either) that you won't want to take a shower in winter

cheap stay, that's it!
It was not clear some of the time who are guests or staff! It seems staff leave as much mess around the place, saw a mouse running around in the kitchen, noisy in the garden til 5am, staff not to be seen on time in the morning, Facilities in such poor condition, all sofas occupied during the night specially for snogging. Not sure what's the focus this hostel has. Not certain if I was actually allocated the bed for the price I paid!
