Lovely hotel with great views
Lovely older hotel right on the bay, with gorgeous views and a friendly staff. Little bit of trouble figuring out how to get heat in my room--turns out there is a hidden panel in the simulated fireplace you need to activate--but once I figured thst out as well as the wall heater, had a very cozy stay, listening to the winter storms pound against the windows.
First floor had reasonable accessibility for wheelchairs, although if you come here and don't need accessibility I'd recommend asking for a second floor room. You'll still have beautiful views from the balcony--the ground floor room had so many bay watchers peering in my window that I finally shut the blinds for privacy.
Small warning for wheelchairs or people who can't do stairs: The ground floor is accessible, but the hotel office is not. You'll likely need to bring a companion for checkin/checkout, or call the front desk in advance to assist.
Suggestion: Tidal Raves, a small seafood restaurant with good food, friendly staff and incredible views, is an easy walk from the hotel.
