The hotel has its own restaurant on the ground floor and the guests can enjoy a very good breakfast. The staff is highly friendly and helpful. The room is stylish, but hardly functional. I was particularly embarrassed by the absence of power point near the desk.

We've stayed here multiple times over the years and always enjoyed our stay. As long as you realise that it is a basic but very funky hotel you won't go wrong! The staff are always welcoming, the bar and restaurant are excellent. If you're there on a Sunday you really must book for brunch! The rooms are basic but always clean. Over the years the area around the hotel has grown busier and there are now few interesting restaurants and bars. It's not the most beautiful part of Paris but it's full of character and a walk around Pere Lachaise is a must.

Nice hotel but not for a second visit
Hotel had a funky / trendy vibe. That’s all good and fun but the rooms were too small (for the price) but more frustrating is they were quite dark. I know it’s the style but didn’t work for me. Also, restaurant was delicious but 2hour wait for food is unacceptable

Bad service in general. I had several concerns. Dirty room, no cleaning during the day. Asked for breakfast as a compensation but no one had the authority to make any decisions. Would not recommend.

Very varied service level
Been staying a few times at Mama shelter East over the years. Now I brought some friends with me. We all concluded the same. The service of the staff goes from excellent (Mymy in particular) to some outright ignorant. Not being greeted when checking in or when checking out is pure laziness. Same goes for security at the door not lifting a finger when alone with multiple bags. Same goes for restaurant staff, some are fantastic and some are more occupied talking to themselves rather than pay attention to their customers. It’s a shame really. The food is really good but with stiff competition we won’t be returning.

The room was ok, bathroom needs some tlc. The air conditioner needs looking at, as at times during the night it sounds like it’s rebooting, but will do it 3-4 times a night, I switched it off. Slept with window open as it was ridiculous. Catering for gluten-free was not great, very restricted, some staff knew what you meant while others were not interested. All Menues need to show what is GF, and staff trained on it. If you can show what is vegetarian, then GF can be shown and catered for too. Also, watch some bar staff as, at happy hour they are oblivious and will charge you full price, even when you question it, but act not interested.
