The hotel staff was really kind and helpful, and always treated us with smile and hospitality. We arrived in the early morning completely exhausted after a red-eye flight, and the hotel staff (probably the owner) greeted us with a big smile and told us to have breakfast, which was on house. He oversaw whether they had a room available for us to check in immediately, which thankfully was the case. Throughout our stay, this kind of hospitality continued, and everybody was really nice to us.
The location was excellent, being next to Gulhane Park (which used to part of Topkapi Palace) and Sirkeci Train Station (Oriental Express). So many nice shops and restaurants around the hotel, and the Sultanahmet and almost all the major attractions were within walking distance.
The Gulhane tram station was 4 mins away from the hotel, which led us to Kabatas, Eminonu, Grand Bazaar etc. We'll not stay anywhere else if we go back to Istanbul.
