It was raining and around 930pm when we arrived to the hotel. The awning was blocked off due to construction. We didn't see the signs when we got there due to the wind knocking them down but there are signs pointing you to use the side entrance doors. It would've been nice to have seen the signs before we got wet walking to the front doors. Once we made it inside, we waited 5-10 minutes for an employee to come to the front desk to check us in. She was on a smoke break.
Upon our initial inspection, the room seemed to be clean but the bathroom still had hair in it in several places from the previous guests and there was soap or cleaner left on the bathroom sink area. There was also urine under the toilet seat. I spoke with the cleaning staff the next morning and it was taken care of. The sheets were clean but the room could use some extra dusting. We only took advantage of the breakfast one morning and it was subpar. We were downstairs at 7:15 am and most of the food was gone with no employee in sight to refresh the food. By 7:45 the food hadn't been replenished (luckily there were pancakes). The area around the hotel is nice and luckily there are a lot of dining options.
