Beautiful Neighborhood
Old Northside Historical District, hence the name. Coffee, restaurants, bars, all within a mile or less walking distance. Parking behind the building.
It's a very old home (1880s) with creaking floors, a narrow staircase, etc., so if that kind of stuff is a bother, you might choose elsewhere. Otherwise, you'll enjoy your stay here, much more than a hotel in the downtown area.
Gary is a terrific host who likes to bake. The breakfasts are fantastic and he has homemade cookies to snack all day. You don't need to order dessert when you go out to eat.
He also has hundreds of movies to watch on the big-screen in your room (along with streaming services) if you choose to stay in or make it an early night. And he's an entertaining conversationalist.
Honestly, I felt like a boarder as much I did a hotel guest.
