Average, not any more than that.
I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for two nights, booking through Hotels.com, where it had a 9.9 (Excellent) rating. In my experience, it was more average than excellent.
Pros:
Comfortable bed – got a good night’s sleep.
TV with local channels – basic but functional.
Breakfast included – though the quality was subpar. It was convenient, but don’t expect much.
Cons:
No smart TV – would have been much better if I could stream YouTube or Netflix.
Harsh lighting – the bright white fluorescent bulbs made the room feel cold and sterile. Warm lighting would be much better.
Location is rough – the motel is in a bad part of town. Unfortunately, my truck was vandalized in the parking lot. While that’s not directly the motel’s fault, better security would help. I parked in a well-lit area, but it still happened, so be aware of the risk.
Overall, it’s fine for a short stay, but it’s definitely not a 9.9/10 experience. If you need a place to sleep, it works, but the location, security, and amenities could be improved.
