The location is excelent if you want a very quiet and peaseful stay. Because the beautiful resort is located in a bay far from everything it is not easy to explore the island, except if you rent a scooter or want to pay loads of bahts for a taxi. The resort looks nice, rooms are clean (don't forget to tip the cleaning ladies) and the food in the restaurant is not that bad, although it lacks atmosphere and the prices are high compared to the quality!
Swimmingpool is good, but there aren't enough sunchairs and there are no sunbeds or umbrellas. This is a big minus. The guy in the little bar on the beach makes very nice drinks and is about the only nice person around in miles!
In our opinion the staff in this hotel and also in the surrounding hotels in the Tanote bay were really not trained to be working in hospitality. Especially the two girls behind the coffeecorner and the reception itself were rude and didn't make you feel welcome at all. This was really a big disapointment for us, because it made our stay less romantic (this was part of our honneymoon).
So to sum it up: great hotel but staff, not that great! Are they bored or have the luxery that they are always fully booked? Who knows, but we were not the only ones during our stay who felt this way.
