The hotel is great - the style, cleanliness, the area around. There's just one issue that I'd like to mention.
After my recent 10-day trip through Colorado, I discovered a paper bag was missing after my room was cleaned. This bag contained souvenirs, teas, coffee, and chocolates that I had collected during my travels. I noticed it was gone when I was packing, the morning after the cleaning crew had been in my room. I immediately reported it to the front desk, but they were unable to find it.
I believe the cleaning crew may have mistaken the regular brown paper bag for trash and discarded it. I wish they had taken a moment to look inside, as it contained several valuable items, including some quite expensive teas and a unique mug from a local artist. It's disheartening to think these items are now in a landfill simply because someone was careless and didn't pay attention.
While I appreciate the removal of the destination fee, it doesn't cover the cost of replacing these items, not to mention the time I spent carefully selecting them in Steamboat Springs and Winter Park.
If I knew this might happen, I would have packed the contents of the bag a while ago. Just FYI for those who keeps their stuff if brown paper bags ;)
