Worst hotel stay of my life so far.
Booked this stay which was to be a king bed suite. Hotels.com contacted the location, as usual hsppens, and the reservation was confirmed. Oyo Hotel Marías did process the deposit for a king suite per the contract. The balance was to be paid upon arrival. When I did arrive the attendant would not process a credit card payment and demanded cash. That was the start of the breach of contract. This was a nonrefundable booking. Finally get to the room to find 2 double beds and it was not the suite I booked. She made up done excuse that it was double booked by Hotels.com, but then they should not have accepted the contract or charged the deposit if it was already booked. Sure seems like a fraudulent transaction. Then discovered that the bedding was dirty. The first attendant was gone at this point and the new attendant did try to make the situation better by changing the dirty sheets and pillow cases. She did the best she could with the mess. There was dried blood on one pillowcase, and a stain in the middle of the bedsheet from what was probably an amorous encounter by the last occupants. The new sheets weren't much better, and some were threadbare in places. The bed was well worn so not a comfortable sleep at all. Also noticed a squashed cockroach on the wall that had to have been there for a while as it ess all dried out. Oh, and no hot water. Left early in the morning and upon leaving, the 3rd attendant said she'd have someone check. Wasn't going to wait around for that.
