I may not be the best person for this review as this is my 2nd Hostel stay in 9 years.
Seeing the weather is cold,heating was insufficient, the floor were bare no carpeting or insulation on top of that(thiss might be due to rarity hostel booking ) there were no slipper.
Shower was surprisingly good,again I am not sure if there multiple people living at this room they might having charging issues in terms of comforts rather than actual functionality.
Breakfast was surprisingly excellent for Hostel but then when it comes to amenities the hot water takes forever to boil,toasteris at the end of buffet after you have already picked up toast and jammed as there were no extra utensils to keep jam separate to use after toasting.If I have ordered a single room for single occupant I would rather have double bed rather than single bed else it becomes sleeps for two with comfort and convenience compromised.
Staff were lovely,helpful and understanding but my understanding is management are being stingy because my understanding of Swiss is are they are very punctual and hate time wasting ,but due to equipment being very slow to use while being shared across multiple hostelier I would invest on the basic and faster amenities that enhances
every customer indirect interaction with the hoshel.
My visit didn't need that extra spending for hotel,but all things considered would definitely pay upto extra 30-50 CHF if good night sleep if your top priority else good value for money.
