Love the location. They have complimentary steam room, sauna and pool. Convenient location in an Old City. Close to the Harbor Walk and the tram to the observation deck and Flame Towers. They are offer taxi from the airport for an extra charge, what was really convenient for us. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Also have a rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the city. Highly recommend.

I would recommend the hotel for its great location (close to the metro, view of the three flames and in the Old City). The room was great. The breakfast is a generous if slightly monotonous buffet and other meals I ate there were of good quality and inexpensive for the rooftop location. The sauna/dunking pool needs to be booked in advance but is a nice relief after walking around Baku all day. Julie (at the reception) was really helpful and an example of "customer service" for all!

Excellent Property although staff was forcing us to use Taxi for Airport and wanted to charge 100 Manat while we used Bolt App and paid 16 Manat for same thing.
Trying to cash on tourist at reception is not welcoming at all

Pretty decent size of the rooms. What we didn’t like is the no direct access of transportation , poor customer service and overall condition of the rooms . Very outdated and poor maintenance of the rooms .

It’s good hotel but I don’t know how this was classified as 5 stars, it’s absolutely not look like 5 stars (looks 4 or 3.5). Good location in old Baku, however it’s very hard to access it by Taxi, mostly u need to walk for few mins (3 to 10 arrive or to leave). Staff was freindly, but service not available 24 hours (only from 9 am to 6 pm).

I am satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location and on the fourth floor is the hotel restaurant with an excellent view of the old town and the Caspian Sea. The hotel staff is friendly, accommodating and everything we asked for was met.

The staff at the front desk were amazing, really lovely. Location in the old town is great though not good for taxi pick ups and drop offs (would’ve been good to get this information from the hotel beforehand as we had quite far to walk and lots of bags as it was the start of a long trip and it was F1 weekend so there were street closures we weren’t aware of near the hotel). I’m not sure how this place while not bad qualifies as a 5 star hotel. No black out curtains so it was very bright in the mornings making it hard to sleep, and the toiletries bottles in the bathroom looked either very old or reused because the labels on them were worn off. Very strange. Not an issue in itself but not what you’d expect from 5 star and might be worth them installing those shower gel dispensers instead. Breakfast wasn’t great but the view from that floor is lovely. If I came back I would choose a more central hotel perhaps a good quality 3 star that does it well.

We loved our stay here. The location is premier - inside the old city walls, but a very easy walk to everything you want to do or see in Baku. The staff is super helpful and friendly, the breakfast spread is huge and delicious, and our room was more than we hoped for. We would highly recommend Shirvanshah to any Baku traveler.
