This is one the worse Hotel I have ever stay in . No wifi TV does work not hot water for bath hard to find as it called its self Sefton Park Hotel when it not half mile up the road is the real sefton Park Hotel

The hotel is in a good location right across from Sefton Park, and a 5 minute walk to Lark Lane, with lots of pubs and restaurants. Unfortunately the hotel is poor, and has not been looked after therefore it's extremely run down. TV not working, no heating in October, the hot water is brown when it comes out, lots of cracked tiles in the bathroom and a cracked sink, the decor has not been changed for years, and the bar is not open. One positive is that the parking is good, but avoid this hotel.

Bizarrely expensive for a tiny room with damp stains on the walls, uncomfortable bed, and not even a particularly useful location. Unusual and inconvenient security system on the door. Whole place felt ratty and old. The only nice looking part is the front, so don’t be fooled by the photos of the big glass fronted bar!

Amazing support from the manager after I had a tyre blow out on the way up to daughter’s graduation. He literally took care of everything involved in getting my car picked up from the hotel after the AA dropped it off there, which helped me concentrate on the big day for my daughter and our family. Lovely, lovely man

This hotel was very disappointing. It needs totally upgrading. Our bed was comfortable. However, the curtains didn't close properly, the bathroom door didn't close properly and the hot tap was running all the time. We had difficulty getting into our room because the first code we were given didn't work. Our breakfast on the first morning was excellent but having booked breakfast for our second morning we arrived at the diningroom to find the door locked. My husband rangcthe manager as there was no-one on reception to be told that breakfast wasn't available as there were not enough guests to make it worthwhile! We will not stay in this hotel again.

Excellent location and hotel has potential to be good with investment. Check in staff was very good and did a brilliant job. Unfortunately, the room and general decor maintenance was very poor. As a result wouldn’t stay again.

One night stay for a concert. Hassan the Manage was extremely friendly and allocated us a family room with 2 double beds. He also registered my car on the parking website free of charge (although there is abundant free on-street parking outside the hotel). The hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there but was clean, tidy and perfectly functional.

The hotel is in a great location right across from Sefton Park, a 5 minute walk to Lark Lane, with amazing restaurants. However the hotel was nothing as advertised online. Nobody at reception you have to phone for someone to come. Our room was very small and cramped. The TV was not working, no hot water and the water was yellow when it came out. I phoned and spoke to the manager, (this is the only way to contact him, reception is unattended) and asked to move rooms, but there were non available. He gave us the code to the directors suite so we could use the shower, however when I asked if we could stay in it, he said no. I asked about compensation and was told I needed to speak to company I booked through. The bedside wall lamps had no bulbs and one didn't have a lampshade. The decor has not been changed for years, and the bar is not open and no breakfast, even though it is advertised at an additional fee. However the beds were comfortable and the linen was extremely clean. Will not be staying again.

The hotel smelt overwhelmingly of damp. The bathroom was covered in black mold, wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and the whole place was filthy. I genuinely did not want to stay, but with an early flight the next morning, I felt completely trapped. To make matters worse, the noise was unbelievable, with guests screaming and shouting until the early hours. Management did nothing to intervene. Absolutely appalling. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
