We stayed at the Hyatt House BWI Airport Baltimore in a studio room with a king bed and pull-out couch. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
When I went to use the pull-out bed, I grabbed a pillow and extra blanket from the closet and found that they were moldy. Staff did apologize and brought fresh pillows, which I appreciated, but this felt like a basic housekeeping oversight. Items like that should be checked thoroughly between every stay.
Parking was also an issue. My best friend, who is disabled, was the driver, and the hotel combines handicap and electric vehicle parking in the same spaces. Two Teslas were parked there overnight—only one was actively charging—so she couldn’t access a handicap spot. Even trying to drop her off at the front wasn’t a good option because there were no available hotel parking spots, and it seemed like some vehicles may have been parked there for airport use. The staff member we spoke with was polite and reassured us that we wouldn’t be towed if we created our own parking space, but it didn’t feel like an appropriate solution given the circumstances.
Overall, while the staff we interacted with were friendly, these issues significantly impacted our stay. Based on this experience, we would not choose to stay here again.
