I was a bit skeptical booking this hotel given the number of negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised with my stay.
I messaged with the hotel via Hotels.com messaging platform and they were very responsive and informative. 1 day before my check-in, they sent me info on how to complete the pre-arrival verification process which included uploading my driver’s license and photos of myself. The downside to this was that I was charged $7.50 to complete the process, which I wasn’t made aware of beforehand.
I also had to pay a $200 deposit for any damages/incidentals but that deposit was promptly refunded to me 1 day after checking out.
The instructions on how to enter the property and my room were very clear and easy to follow.
The room itself was mostly as advertised and clean. The microwave and mini fridge were both very convenient. No noise issues during my stay other than a chatty neighbor who took calls in the hallway.
Great location near Union Station and walkable to many food options.
