'I booked for Tia Kautai Studio but got told at check-in the unit we booked had a tenant occupyinh for another week. It wasn't available for us and even staff don't understand how that happened. We just needed a place to crash for the day before departure flight. Still happy they managed to find us a subsitute @ Kikii Inn suites which is reasonably clean and fits our family needs. We had a restful time before the night flights. Thanks'

'We really loved our stay at Mama Tara’s. Was very clean & had most of what we needed.
The only problem we had was poor communication, no directions & found no signage. Some lovely locals helped us immensely as it was late at night when we arrived.. Thank goodness!

Had to ask the locals. The owner of the land doesn't want a sign there??? Instead it is signposted wirh amother name. Go figure...'

'Ik ben in november een week op Rarotonga geweest, in Aroa Beachside Inn. Ik vond het een uitstekend resort. Het was klein en knus, vriendelijke bediening, uitstekende ligging aan het strand. Ook de eigenaren, Jim en Jan, waren behulpzaam vriendelijk en leuk. Ik werd zelfs in Nieuw Zeeland gebeld met de vraag of er transport geregeld moest worden vanaf het vliegveld.
Het appartement dat ik had was uitstekend, ruime kamer met bed en keuken,, veranda en standaard badkamer.

'From the organization of airport transfers to the unbeatable location just about everything was memorable about our stay. Staff were excellent in their responses to all our queries. The island buses are a bonus as a convenient tour and shopping experience.

It’s close to town and cafes and although not around Muri side of the island only a short travel and we enjoyed the privacy and ocean front right there without the crowds!! Perfect relaxing at this property.'

Great views and aircon if needed although great cross breeze through windows.
Deck was great with some nice furniture but the slatted wooden handrail really cut down your view which was a shame. Villa 2 has this glass rail. Request it. Driveway access a little tricky. Overall a very nice time.'

"Goed: Beste locatie van Rarotonga met prachtige lagoon om te snorkelen met mooie tropische vissen en murenes. Kamers op zich prima, wat verouderd, maar wel super schoon.
Slecht: Deels verouderd. Restaurant is verschrikkelijk en zeer ongezellig. Eten zeer matig en niet 4* waardig. Keuken ziet er niet schoon uit ook. Ga lekker bij het restaurant aan de overkant eten, veel beter en enthousiaste eigenaar. Cocktails zijn kant en klaar en niet te zuipen. Ontbijt is ok, maar kan ook een kwaliteitseis upgrade gebruiken. Veel ziet er om 0900 niet meer vers uit. Omgeving zwembad niet schoon (zwembad zelf wel) en gevaarlijke putjes voor kinderen. Waterpark kapot en onveilig. Veel kokosnoten in bomen pal boven ligbedjes, heel gevaarlijk. Ligebedden hebben geen kussens zoals op de foto’s. Veel ongebruikte ruimten. Het slechte is dat bovengenoemde al jaren in de reviews staat, maar blijkbaar neemt het management deze niet serieus omdat klanten toch wel blijven komen. Advies: neem een goede hotel manager aan, knap de boel echt een keer op en neem feedback serieus, vernieuw je restaurant, neem een goede chef-kok aan en maak het aantrekkelijk voor gasten. Jammer want je kan hier een fantastisch resort van maken op zo’n locatie.
Ondanks alles wel een prima verblijf gehad hoor, dus ga er gerust heen.
