We had a very pleasant surprise when we arrived at our hotel. We chose it for budget reasons, we knew it was far out of town, and had quite low expectations.
We were in for a treat. The hotel is immaculate, the entrance hall is quite 'grand', our hotel room was large, quiet, very clean and even had a minibar.
Personnel is not very talkative, but that could be the language barrier. They were friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast there, so cannot comment on that.
You have to be prepared to walk about 12 minutes to and from the train station through an uninteresting and not very pretty area, and travel about 30 minutes to the centre of Barcelona. If that's no problem for you, then this hotel is an absolute gem which I would recommend to everyone. When budget is an issue, we would strongly advice staying here, instead of some run-down 1 star place in the centre of town (which would probably still cost more). We would return there in future without a doubt.
