Nice family oriented resort hotel with cottages
This was a nice resort with cottages housing about 2 accommodations each, 2 balconies per room and lots of. We were only a couple but could have housed a family with 3 kids easily (3 rooms + bathroom). Rooms were clean and well kept. The only minus point was hot water that came unreliably. Sometimes we had to resort to cold showers.
The cottages are set in a lush and well kept tropical garden with a Saguis monkey colony (dont feed them! It is bad for them and as cute as they look they can bite and can carry serious diseases). There were also wild and caged birds, swimming pool outside inside, games like pool billiards, table soccer.
Breakfast is served in a communal area, quite good and typical for Brazil (fruits, bread, warm and cold dishes). We were here in low season so restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. Nearby there isn't much, only a nice pizzeria next door that we frequented. Other decent restaurants are 1 or 2km away.
The beach is about 200m away along a trial past the Sao Sebastiao Chapel and Cemetery, but once you have found it is easy and we didn't mind the walk. The beach and neighboring area are protected, which makes sense at is very beautiful and pristine. At this beach all resorts are at this distance.
Staff is incredibly nice and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Even some English is spoken which is uncommon in Brazil.
