Nice, but never again!
Our room was very nice in many respects, luxurious even. Still we would not choose to stay here again, because the couple who manage the place showed very little flexibility and sense of service when they denied our request (that we put in after one day) to cut our stay at the hotel short from four to three nights. The lady literally immediately pulled out the fine print of the agreement and told us that "from a business standpoint", she couldn't allow this. Very disappointing and, as you can imagine, it changed our experience at this hotel significantly. So no more Nautilus Lodge for us or any of our friends who will be visiting Motueka. Because sometimes being flexible and being service oriented actually makes more business sense than strictly upholding the fine print.
