Let’s start with the positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location is very close to the city center and all the restaurants, but it’s very quiet.
On the negative side, very often there wasn’t any warm water. The water was just about tolerable, but not pleasant. Also, there were only two electric outlets in the room and if you use the one near the bed, you can trip on your phone on your way to the bathroom.
And then the cherry on top was the “damages” that we apparently caused by residual hair dye. I’ve been dyeing my hair for 20 years and have stayed in tens if not hundreds of hotels. I guarantee that the hair dye comes off in a wash very easily and I’ve never had this problem in any of the hotels or at home, but we’ve been told that they tried washing the pillowcases and the towels twice and even took them to the drycleaner and the stains won’t come off. We of course got no proof that they even tried to wash them. Because of this, they charged us 35 EUR “discounted price” for the damages. Based on the reviews we’re not the only ones that had extra charges and it seems that the hotel charges very easily for damages no matter how imaginary they are.
Considering the price we paid for the stay, the downsides are completely unacceptable and there’s apparently a track record of the hotel forcing extra charges on you, so I really don’t recommend staying here.
