Kyrkjetangen is the first choice for bathing in the summer among Bergen residents as it offers plenty of space, good conditions for children and warm water. This public area has a great location on Bøneset by Nordåsvannet south of Bergen city centre, with a large parking area, good bus services and cycle paths in all directions.
The area benefits from large grasslands and a lovely selection of small coves with a sandy beach and boulders. There are several barbecue neighborhoods with benches and tables, and toilet facilities on the outskirts. There is a lot of boat traffic here in summer, but the bathing area is protected by bathing buoys. Popularity is the only downside - on sunny days during public vacations, traffic jellies between the main road and the carpark are guaranteed, so use your bike or legs if you can.

Gallery KiT is part of the Art Academy in Trondheim and a venue used for art exhibitions and other events. As the gallery is primarily run by students, this is also where students can display their own works.
Its very central location on Solsiden makes it easy to get to both on foot and by bus, and many have probably tried to take a sneak peek through the large windows. If you want to support and discover promising artists, it's definitely worth a visit.

The Nordnes bathing area is a small green area in Nordnesparken in the center of Bergen, which has an outdoor pool for all ages, lawns where you can sunbathe, and a pool with a diving board. The heated pool attracts hardy local bathers and bathing enthusiasts all year round, but most people tend to come here in summer when the sun is out and the fjord approaches 20 degrees.
When the weather forecast promises a hot day, you need to get there early to nab a spot for your towel as Bergen residents know how to make the most of the sun when it eventually appears. But it can be just as fun to come here on a gray day. With 30 degrees in the pool and a hot sauna, you won't have to worry about your teeth chattering.

The Archbishop's Palace was built in the latter half of the 12th century and is the Nordic region's oldest secular building, which together with Nidaros Cathedral is one of the most well-preserved medieval facilities in Norway. If you visit the building today, you will find both a fascinating museum and the home of the Norwegian crown jewels.
For over 800 years, the Archbishop's Palace was a meeting place for powerful men and military figures, and on a guided tour of the facility you can learn more about the exciting historical events that took place here. The Norwegian crown jewels are on display in one of the wings, and at the Archbishop's Museum you can see old objects that were found after archeological excavations in the 1980s. There is also an old coin workshop, medieval statuary and much more.

Trondheim par3golf is a 9-hole golf course located on Havstein on Byåsen, just outside the city centre. The course attracts both experienced golfers and beginners, and one round takes about one hour. One of the best things about the course, however, is the view you get of the city and the fjord.
The course is open to everyone, and you can either book a time or just drop by. If you are completely new to gold, it's best to go with a more experienced player and hit some test shots first. As it doesn't take long to play a round here, it's easy to fit one in during a busy day or in the vacations.

Frogner Park is more than just one park. This joined up park area extends from Kirkevegen to Thune and attracts both locals and tourists, albeit perhaps to different neighborhoods.
Skøyenparken and Frognerparken are large, open green neighborhoods popular with dog walkers, runners and people enjoying picnics. Gustav Vigeland's sculpture park is also located in the center of the park and attracts visitors from all over the city. And you'll also find a playground, restaurants and - on the outskirts - a stadium and outdoor bathing facilities.

Rustal food market may not quite live up to its name as it is a solitary store, but then again, this isn't just any store. The corner premises at the top of the idyllic Damstredet are surrounded by outdoor shelves brimming with vegetables from far afield, while inside the store, all kinds of items are stacked tightly from floor to ceiling.
The interior can seem cluttered and overwhelming if you're unfamiliar with the items - and there are probably many people who are. The product range is mainly sourced from other continents, the East in particular, and if you're looking for something oriental that you won't find anywhere else, then this might just be the place that stocks it.

When The Well was launched as a wellness center, it was on a scale that had not previously been seen in the capital. Despite the fact that the facilities are located just outside the city centre, The Well is experiencing great success with its spa concept.
Because there really is no better place to visit if you want to spend a whole day being pampered, either on your own or with a partner. It's best to do it with some company, because a trip to The Well is an experience to remember.
