A stunning hotel on a wonderful location, with horrible check-in experience. We were very surprised to be welcomed by such unfriendliness by the female receptionist. There was clearly a problem with our booking, although she did not communicate that with us, she kept repeating in an impatient matter that ‘we had to wait a minute’. We asked if she was alright, if everything was alright but there was no response, no smile, nothing. When we were checked in, we asked about the spa. It seemed to cost a lot of effort to explain us the COVID routine. We felt sorry for asking. It came to our attention that the reception is staffed with 3 employees but they will have you wait and only 1 will help you. It really struck us, you do not have to be kind but we wonder why you would work in hospitality if you find it so difficult to be kind to travellers. It is a true disgrace for such a beautiful hotel.
