This is a lovely family run hotel, in a great location close to restaurants and within easy walking distance of all of Amsterdam’s best sights. Our room was on the third floor, and at first glance it was a little disconcerting. The stairs are very steep, and that was worrisome. However, our bags were carried up for us at check in and back down when it was time to go, so we needn’t have worried about that. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a nice big shower which we appreciated. The negatives (for us) were the low beams and the single, small, window which made the room feel a bit claustrophobic at times. Having said that, we were aware we were staying in the attic of a 348 year old building, and the uniqueness of the situation somehow outweighed the negatives.
If you’re over 6’ tall or have any mobility issues, then this room wouldn’t be for you. Otherwise, it’s a property you should check out.
