I'm ambivalent about this hotel, as it is not bad, but certainly not better than other accommodations in this range. I booked this room through a recommendation, so it is possible that the room I got was the worst in the building. The location is perfect, very close to the bus station and within walking distance of everything. The hotel is small and convenient, a typical Venetian building with a couple of rooms, but no frills, no amenities or facilities of any kind, no breakfast, no seating area, etc. I found it odd that there is nobody at the ground floor reception/lobby, the front door looks run down, etc. It was all more or less self-service (with the advantage of privacy?). Service (once I found the office in the second floor) was OK but felt impersonal. The room I got was very narrow, basic and quite disappointing. The bed was adjacent to a wall with smears and scratches that gave a bad impression. Too small bathroom, virtually no toiletries, coffee making or any other utility you'd expect (exception a hair-dryer hidden in a drawer, and no one to ask about it) I didn't feel compelled to return to the room at all. Noisy hallway and flimsy doors, but strangely not a bad stay. I would stay there again but for locational convenience, not conviction.
