Historical hotel with dated decor
The hotel is beautiful. The staff are wonderful and all round well performing. However, the property is dated and looks like it’s hit by CEO pay rises — the staff deserve to have a well paid job and the hotel deserves money towards better maintenance as a historical landmark.

The building is certainly a maze, but once I got to my room it was great! Much bigger than I expected and very comfortable with a clear view of the sunrise over the city.
One of the window locks was broken, and there was a pretty big step to get into the shower, but those were really my only complaints.
It's really convenient for exploring Stirling and had lots of amenities I didn't have time to explore. I'd definitely stay again.

A nice mid range hotel in a good location.
Well positioned hotel. Clean, cozy and serviceable although rooms a little tired and had a lingering odour of tobacco from the past. Main areas have been nicely updated. Leisure facilities were nice and breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.

Where are the eggs?
There wasn’t a bar fridge, the bathroom was old, breakfast was below standard (plates were cold and multiple times we had to wait for fried eggs) and there was minimal interaction at arrival (no information provided concerning the area). Parking is on site at a daily rate.

Will not stay here again
Lot of noise from the upper rooms, not very comfortable and I strongly disagree about the parking fee, also the breakfast did not accommodate for not pork eaters

Ok for a budget break.
Hotel is dated. Paintwork in bathroom needs a good clean and taps rusty. Only part of a roll of toilet paper and 1 tissue in a box. Windows ate old with gaps which make room cold.
