I liked that the hotel was nice to look at but the rooms are outdated a lot of stuff didint work . Also the beach there you are unable to swim in it .

Hate to give bad review as the staff was gracious and kind. I love the water jugs everywhere too to discourage the use of plastic water bottles. However the rooms need updating. They are grungy and out dated. The pool area seemed clean and nice though. As I was sitting on the toilet I had a continuous drip of water hitting my head from a crack in the ceiling. Perhaps leaking solar panels ? Just disturbing. The beds were actually comfortable but the bedding so thin and poor quality. Like a sheet with another thin sheet like comforter. I felt like no matter how much you clean it would not feel clean as just years of stains in bathrooms and again, a leaky ceiling. The price was fair at $80 a night on the beach. It was a great stopover night before our flight home but a long term vacation stay would be uncomfortable.. Dated, smelled funny but sweet and fairly indifferent staff.

Great Place
The Posada Real is a Great Place. 3rd time there. It is not a "Luxury Hotel" but it is much better than the cost implies. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for 2. Our AC was super quiet and ice cold. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. Staff are super friendly and provide great service. The restaurant has superb meals and will cook your catch. Breakfast buffet is comprehensive with great omlett chef. If you can survive without fru-fru luxury you will be very pleased with the Posada Real, Ola Benito!!!

Food and service were really good. Grounds were nice. The rooms desperately need an update and maintenance. There was very little hot water, the beds were uncomfortable. The lock on our door was missing the strike plate, the towels were old an scratchy. Could be a really nice hotel but needs a significant investment in remodeling the rooms.

The buffet was amazing all I can eat, the room was not updated but it was ok. They gave us all we can drink and the next morning best buffet.

Very clean, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious, drinks were made well and served in glass and decorated nicely! We live this hotel! Great location and you can’t beat the price.

Front desk ladies seem to be grumpy all the time. other than that the place and the rest of the staff were excellent. Highly recommended and I will book this place again.
