Beautiful Villa / Wonderful Service
I can't imagine a more beautiful hotel and grounds in all of Sicily than the Villa Paradiso. Absolutely wonderful pool and surroundings. The hotel itself is like stepping into a time machine from 1930 but with all of the modern comforts. But the what made our 5 day stay even more special was the service from the receptionist Rosanne. We made the (mistake?) of not renting a car but Rosanne helped us find things to do and places to go with the help of taxi's (Vitorio) and buses.Also was a hero in retrieving a forgotten telephone an hour before our return flight. Never had so a helpful and professional receptionist. The breakfast on the beautiful roof terrace was also great. The one (little) min point was perhaps the "slow" wifi connection, at least according to our 12 year old son. The Villa is a great starting point to explore Etna, etc. but a car is pretty much essential. Actually even walking outside the Villa is difficult. A large shopping mall within a 10 minute walk is helpful. Also bewaar of "Family Parties" and Disco Night (sundays), that occur perhaps 1 time a week, then suddenly the beautiful, rustic, relaxing paradise is transformed into a crowded, noisey place. But in conclusion if your in the area don't miss spending a night or 2 at these special hotel.
