We liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay. The property is conveniently located to resturants, shopping, and sightseeing activities. Vik is a cute fishing village and perfect for whale watching and grabbing a good, hot meal. The hotel looks like a four-to-five star hotel on the outside and inside, and offers a wonderful breakfast--one of the best in Iceland! The room was amazing. We liked the panoramic windows, beds, bathroom, and TV with Netflix access. Conversely, parking and the room location was not ideal. Parking is very limited near the property and a series of uneven steps leading to the lobby makes it difficult to bring your luggage into the property. This proved difficult for my mobility challenged family member. Also, our room was very difficult to get to. Apparently, the hotel merged with the next building on the block and they were not able to connect the floors together on the same level. We had to go through a maze of elevators and stairwells to get to our room with our luggage. It was very confusing and cumbersome. It would've been a perfect stay had it not been for the room location. Overall, I still recommend this property but wish I could give it five stars.
