PLUS POINTS:
- A fine newly built hotel with chic decor and good sized and comfortable rooms with a good bathroom and seating and workdesk areas, though the wardrobe area was a bit cramped. Hotel style is sort of Moroccan minimalist (some might find the decor a bit "cold" for a beach resort), with a musical (jazz) theme.
- A very attractive and bustling medina and fishing harbour not too far away, with food and crafts MUCH cheaper than in the big cities of Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca etc.
- English very widely and well spoken, and the lobby staff very polite, helpful and attentive.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
(NB: None of these detracted much from a very enjoyable 6-night stay.)
- The service to the room (eg light bulbs and missing towels) was slow and required a number of follow up calls.
- WIFI to the rooms (at least to the more distant rooms) was a bit unreliable.
- Location is a bit far from the medina and fishing harbour (20 mins walk). There are good hotels much closer to the medina -eg Hotel des Iles is right outside the medina and seemed very nice, but older and less stars than Atlas.
- Better and clearer promotion of their private beach area (we didn't find out about it until the day we left!).
