The facilities were comfortable and clean; the receptionist, Mia, was absolutely lovely, as was the night-shift staff member. The only reason I wouldn’t stay here again is the lack of air conditioning—which the hotel claimed was due to a government mandate (though I saw other hotels offering the option to pay an extra fee for its use). Furthermore, they offered no alternative solutions, such as portable fans. I was told to sleep with the window open, but there was a bright floodlight shining directly onto my bed, making for a miserable night’s sleep. A 3-star hotel should provide some solution when air conditioning is unavailable, and they should understand that for some guests—myself included—cooling is essential for a good night’s rest.Additionally, having the window open exposed us to all sorts of outside noise.
