Beautifully renovated chateaux with nice comfortable rooms and talented chef running the restaurant. We read good reviews of the restaurant so made a reservation for the first and last evening, when booking the stay. The chef is indeed very good, unfortunately enjoyment ended with the first step entering the restaurant. This was one of the rare occassions we felt not welcome, maybe because we are not French or can only speak a little French. It took the lady 3 attempts to understand our name, were offered the worst table in an empty restaurant, had to choose desert when ordering the starter(‘the chef needed time to prepare...’), sighing after taking our order, bottle of wine in a non chilled ‘cooler’. Maybe all trivial but when you have a feeling its dilliberate its enoying, so ofcourse we still went the second evening. We were offered a special table in a dark basement, when requesting a table in the restaurant, we were told they were fully booked.
