The hotel is located in Southwark, south of the river. It's definitely too far from the Themes to walk, so you'll need a bus (12 goes to Westminster) or tube (Peckham Rye is a 10 minute walk). Buses are frequent, but it will take you at least 30 minutes to get where you want to go. The neighbourhood is OK, Sainsbury is close by, and there are restaurants close by e.g. around Peckham Rye. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom fine; you can make a cup of tea or coffee, and the television and wifi are fine. Room was small though. I have no opinion on the breakfast provided, as we booked without breakfast and decided to have breakfast outside the hotel. Most of the hotel has recently been refurbished, our floor (-1) however was not quite ready. I don't mind, but if you do then check whether they're ready. Our room at -1 had little day light, and leaving the window open meant some noise from outside.
I would recommend this hotel is you're looking for a decent place to sleep, for a reasonable price, and you don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room/the hotel itself and don't mind using buses/tube for transport.
