The only place in Taiwan where we did not feel welcome. Caesar Park Kenting presents itself as a five-star resort, but all the details suggest the opposite. Way overpriced for lacklustre service and so-so facilities.
Note that what is called a 'villa' on Expedia, is actually just a room in the main garden with a small garden that has a (basic) jacuzzi. Don't expect too much privacy, as the people staying in the room above you can look down into your garden.
The room is noisy (you can listen to conversations happening in the room next door) and the layout is stupid. It is large, but most space was taken up by having two queen-size beds (as opposed to one king size). The bathroom is just absurd, with glass screen doors that are so noisy that you wake up at least three rooms if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Breakfast is a disappointing affair, extremely noisy, cold food and unwelcoming staff. Though a 10% service fee is charged to literally everything, but service is just non-existent.
The coffee shop in the lobby has a minimum charge per person which is higher than the charge of a cup of coffee, so even as a hotel guest you are not allowed to have just a one cup of coffee per visit. Luckily there is a Starbucks next door - you will need it!
Had this been a three-star hotel at a third of the price, it would have been fine to stay here. At this price tag one would expect something else though.
