Not Hilton worthy
It's possible I just had bad luck, but nevertheless this was my experience.
Check-in was good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Hotel itself needs overall renovation and feels weary.
Day 1. Around 2pm I went to the restaurant and ordered a coffee, an ice-tea, a bottle of sparkling water, and a steak, rare, not medium rare, rare (!), with peppercorn sauce, salad and an oven potato, as sides.
The coffee was horrible, felt like instant coffee. A pity taking in mind that the country has really good coffee production. Simply can't understand Hilton serves watery coffee.
The steak arrived, well done, how even, if you order rare?
I would have been okay with medium rare, but well done? Can't be..
The peppercorn sauce and sparkling water were missing, so I reminded the waitress, who apologized, brought me the sparkling water, and ran to the kitchen for the peppercorn sauce. Unfortunately the sauce never came. Weird taking in consideration I was the only customer in the restaurant at that time.
The salad was a tuna salad! Who in their right mind serves a tuna salad with a steak?
The oven potato was tasty.
Day 2; My flight was at 10pm and I've been visiting customers all day so wanted to take a shower after, but a late check-out was not possible. Not even an hour or two. Which I understand when the hotel is full.
I wasn't allowed to take a shower in the gym area either and couldn't enter as you need a key card to access. As a loyal Hilton customer this just feels wrong.
