Location for the centre of Dartmouth is good. Breakfasts were very good. Staff were very friendly. Rooms (we ended up staying in two different rooms) were cramped, stuffy, and smelly. Aside from the kitchen odours, which you couldn't avoid from morning until the kitchen closed in the evening, the rooms were musty smelling. The carpets were dirty and the beds were soft. sagging and squeaky. The linens were good as were the big thick bathroom towels. If you love old buildings, with wonky floors, walls and low ceilings and don't mind the above aspects then this is the place for you.
