I read most of the reviews before making our reservation and I was concerned about the street noise from the Karaoke Bars. When I did book our stay, I messaged the Hotel and specifically asked for a room away from the street noise. They happily acknowledged my request and ensured me that they could do it. When we arrived, they kept their promise and gave us a nice room on the 4th floor facing the Sunrise.
The Hotel itself is nice and clean and a very good value. The Hotel Staff are very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with newer furniture. We had a slight issue with the shower knob falling off. Maintenance quickly came and fixed it within minutes. The pool, gym and dining room are also nice and well kept. The Breakfast was good and they provided a variety of options that made it more like a Brunch. It’s a very short walk to City Club, Walmart, Chedraui, The Marina, Centro, etc. It’s the first Hotel as you come into town so that’s nice!
The only negative issue we had was at check-in. I alway pay at time of booking but decided not to this time because the Peso was going down next to the Dollar. The Hotel’s Credit Card machine was having a communication issue and after an hour, and 5 attempts with 2 different cards and calls to both Credit Card companies and Orbitz it finally went through! My advice is to ALWAYS pay online ahead of time!
Despite the negative check-in experience, I would definitely choose the Fairfield Marriott for my next stay.
