My boyfriend and I stayed in this guesthouse for two nights, for we would visit Trinity College Dublin's open day.
We were slightly concerned at first when we found out the check in would be at around seven, usually.
I notified the owner by email saying our flight would be late and evening, and we wouldn't arrive at the airport until 23:00. I got a quick reply, which included a phone number in case our flight was delayed, and was told this was no problem.
So there we were, Friday evening, with a delayed flight and immense queues at Dublin Airport to go through the passport check. We didn't get into the cab until 23:45... We'd called the owners and they were really nice to us on the phone. We did get lost with the cab because we missed a sign, but we were given directions through the phone. When we arrived, we were shown our (lovely!) room and the hostess was amazingly kind to us. She asked us about breakfast the next morning and provided us with it the next morning. The full Irish breakfast was great and very filling.
But then, the most surprising and kindest thing happened. Neither of us have a driving license. but we did have to take the train the next morning to Dublin. The hostess checked the timetables for us and her partner actually drove us to the station. In the evening we were picked up again, and even the next morning driven to the station once more. That wouldn't just happen anywhere else and it proves how special this guesthouse is! We loved our stay!
