A little bit outside the “centre” of Bacalar. People were friendly altough walking back there at night was not really without at least feeling a bit uncomfortable.
The room was not great, but at least they tried making me feel at home by having a M&M snack at my pillow. I feel a bit of a spoiled person by writting this, maybe they are just new to tourism over there. From the Other side, 25 euro’s a night should not set high(er) expectations. Perfect if you are staying 1 night and travelling further. Do not expect much tough
