If you're looking for a five star hotel with all the service and quality that comes with it, keep searching. But if you just want a good place to stay a night or two (don't really need more to see Venice and Mestre) in a comfortable bed, with a good wifi, clean bathroom and a good location - this is the place.
It's not really a hotel in the sense that it doesn't have a reception, lobby or anything like that. But using your own key, you can come and go as you like and it's not more than a 12-15 minutes walk to the railway station, where you can jump on a train to Venice City Centre (Venice Santa Lucia Station), tickets are only €1.30 for an adult. Be aware though, that the street from the railway station to the hotel is a bit shady in the nights. I walked past two men getting into a fight with each other out on the street, around midnight on a Tuesday evening. The police arrived quite fast though and it wasn't anything worse than the regular bar fight, basically. Still though, the first few blocks around Mestre railway station do feel a bit unsafe in the nights, much like around most railway stations in Italy.
Apart from this, if you want to visit Venice but you're not looking to spend €150 (and upwards!) per night staying in the city centre, this is a very good option. Simple but clean and great value for money.
