This place could be amazing. Great location, great view from the tent/lodge and great possibilities to explore the surroundings. The hikes are amazing to do. You get really close to the monkeys, dik diks and other animals. It's not very expensive so maybe my expectations should have been lower. To be honest: this is a very very weird place. Staff just cannot properly communicate. Not at the checkin, not at the restaurant and certainly not the rude ladies at the entrance gate (incredibly moody...they should be let go. They gave us the most unwelcoming feeling of our entire trip). I'm not sure they understand you properly, but their way of answering questions is beyond belief. It's mostly one or two words (and mostly with a no in there). They don't explain who things work at the place (e.g. that dinner is included in the rate). There's no flexibility regarding excursions. Even if you want to pay extra when you want to go a different time. It's a no. They never think in solutions. It's just unheard of. Also people that were not staying at the lodge but wanted to drink or eat something were answered in a very rude way. I occasionally confronted the staff and reminded them that smiling is a good thing. At that time they actually laughed and this was a beautiful thing to see. This could change the whole experience. I really hopre they realize that hospitality is key to making this place a success.
