I love the resort at Royal Decamron Cornwall Beach, especially as all rooms have that amazing sea view at no extra cost. This was our second time on the resort so many things were familiar to us.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, at times there did not appear to be enough of them, especially at meal times. We personally had good customer service, however other guests were seen to be less patient and resorted to not waiting to be seated, getting their own drinks and even cutlery. There was an obvious issue with there not being enough cutlery or glasses etc. (as well as staff) to cope with the demand at mealtimes. Staff themselves often showed their frustration. Although we were not personally affected, it was not pleasant to observe this, especially as this was not evident on our first visit.
There was a good variety of local foods and family friendly choices. However, if you did not arrive at the beginning of meal service you did not always get the full compliment of dishes. Probably why many people chose to attend early and there being added pressure at mealtimes.
Rooms were adequately cleaned and stocked, however, the consistency of towels etc. was dependent on the person cleaning the room.
Overall Royal Decamron Cornwall Beach has capacity to be a great hotel due to location, design and amenities. However, more input is required to maintain a high standard for customers and their staff.
