When we first arrived it was late and on getting into the room we were a little disappointed; it’s very basic with no tea/coffee facilities and the mattress on the bed is extremely thin and hard. It was clean, but just felt a bit bare and tired - my partner likened it to staying at your nans house!
However, we started relaxing into the place after the first day. The pool area is really rustic and special, and at times you could literally hear a pin drop around it.
If they were to add a few little luxury touches to the room/bathroom it would make all the difference in terms of comfort and we just felt that at over £300 a night, it should have been a better standard. Including the toiletries as they seemed very cheap with the conditioner very runny, smelling of pva glue and not conditioning at all, so do remember to pack plenty of your own!
All in all it was a lovely stay - the staff are extremely kind & courteous and we adored the relaxed vibe of the island.
