Bad service!
The Hotel is nice and clean, the wifi works good and the rooms are nice (except the floor was not clean at all). But the huge downgrade is the staff. They are friendly, but you have to ask at least twice for everything. Just a few examples:
- we asked three times for an ashtray
- we asked three times for some towels
- there was an event at the hotel so we were asked what we want for breakfast and on what time, because the restaurant was closed and breakfast was on the balcony. No problem so far. We told them at 9.00 am. We got our breakfast at 11.30 am (!), after reminding them at least 4 times. Then they had to search a table for our balcony.. Btw, coffee was missed and breakfast not what we ordered, the fork was already used by someone.
-we asked them for a transport to Sigiriya, they said they gonna check it and let us know. An hour later we asked them again, they said they gonna let us know in the next 30 minutes. They didn't. It was about 11.00 pm so we went to sleep, tired of asking them everytime again. Finally in the morning they called us at 6.00 am to let us know.
They did not cleaned the room once (we stayed 4 nights), the last day they offered us some drinking water for the room.
Normal waiting time for meals was at least one hour, and it was not even really good. The coke we ordered was once a 750ml bottle, next time 400ml (same price).
I just expect something else for that price, it's not a cheap hotel at all. And not even a "sorry" from the staff.
