The hotel is situated at the end of a road and is in a very quiet location. We parked at the bottom of a hill and had to hike up to the hotel with our bags (good for your fitness!). You could drive up closer to the entrance if needed.
We had been sent an email with a code to get our key out of a lockbox at the entrance, but completely forgot about this when we arrived. Tobias greeted us and gave us our key. He also explained about the drinks and food area. Drinks are taken based on an honesty system- you write down what drinks you had and then pay for them when you check-out.
The room and bathroom was quite small, but this honestly didn't bother us. It is a little dated, but very clean. The bed was a bit creaky, but still very comfortable. It was very quiet overnight.
We had a buffet dinner and breakfast- both were very good.
There is lots of hiking and cycling in the area. The hotel is not far from a large reservoir where you can take boat ride around or hike/run/cycle.
