Only minor issue, the windows only have blinds, these do not effectively block out the light so awake quite early.

'This was a nice room for two people and all the facilities were as described. The photos are an accurate representation. Great communication via WhatsApp/text with Kelvin House prior to our departure, which was greatly appreciated.
It would be useful to have a mirror in the room as well as in the shared bathroom. We had to wait 20 minutes for the bathroom to be vacated by the folks in the other room in order to use the mirror.

'This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable.'

'This was our second stay at 40 winks and it was even better! Warn welcome, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast. Host went out of his way to make our visit run smoothly as we were here for a graduation ceremony. We will be back. Didn’t have time to use the new bar so we must return!! '

'Room and everything in it was clean. There was a smell of stale smoke in the room when we arrived. We mentioned it at reception on our way out and receptionist said she'd get some airfreshioner. Smell wasn't so noticeable when we came back in later. Bed was comfortable'

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.

'Last minute booking due us n3eding tongo and viait family after a sudden unexpected family passing all the stagf where nothing but kind and polite and when we needed to extend our stay it was no issue at all for them to help us we opted to have the breakfast and im so glad we did aswell as the full english and continental option the also had things like omelettes, avocado on toast and the most delicious eggs florentine. The manor is stunning as is the grounds and i enjoyed googling the history!'
