The basics of the hotel are spot on. You can however find some flaws when you look a bit harder. There is a great, helpful, an friendly staff. The restaurant service is lacking but the food is good. Let’s just say: you go there if you need a quick bite, but not for a nice night out. But the small but very pleasent and good restaurants just a block away makes up for it. The room is neat and clean: but surface clean. The bed linens and bathroom or spotless though and that’s what counts. The rooms are a bit noisy, I can hear my upstairs neighbour showering, and the next door slamming doors more loudly than you’d expect (knowing it can’t be completely quiet in a hotel).
Parking is just great and a must if you have a car. Don’t even try to skimp out on parking elsewhere. It just won’t work!
The hotel is centrally located. Sadly SF has a huge homeless problem, which is most pronounced just 4 or 5 blocks to the southeast. But it’s situated perfectly for visits to all of the great areas of SF.
All in all, a good visit.
