The hotel was very good, we really enjoyed our stay here!
Positive things:
- It has a swimming pool (although a 5 euro bathing cap was obligatory...) with a beautiful garden and some showers, a pool bar (pretty expensive though, but good).
- Rooms are very clean, fresh towels and sheets every day.
- Friendly staff
- Free WiFi internet
Negative:
- Detail: The shower was very small. My boyfriend couldn't lift his arms in one direction without touching both walls :)
- Breakfast: there was a great variety of food, but mostly sweets: cake, croissant, chocolate bread, ... Although there was yoghurt and cornflakes, i really missed some normal bread, fresh orange juice of fresh fruits.
Distance to Rome:
This was our main concern before we left, but it's really not a problem: there's a bus stop less than 5 min walking from the hotel (1 bus every 10 minutes, take bus number 913), which takes you directly (30 min or less) to the final stop: Piaza augusto imperatore. From there, everything (including the vatican!!!) is at walking distance. One bus ticket costs 1,5 euro, and is valid for 100 minutes.
So i you're looking for a hotel that's less expensive than most of the hotels in the centre of Rome, and if you want to visit Rome and now and than escape from the heat at the swimming pool, this is the perfect hotel.
