We were so excited to finally stay in Ashland and had heard that Stratford was a nice family place. Perhaps they have been abused over the years, and are therefore now abusive, but there was zero friendliness or professionalism from either MANAGER while we were there. Furthermore, we had our service dogs and had to sign three contracts about poo and noise and such, which we felt happy to do. We paid the pet fee for our service pup in training. Imagine our horror when the doggie area was NOT clean and it was tracked into the room. We cleaned it up with the pool towel that had been accidentally stepped on, and used it to clean the floor and tub. We called the front desk and talked to the host, as well as two housekeepers, and were told no worries. We left a note and an extra cleaning tip ($20) because we know what cleaning for a living is like. We also cleaned everything except one speck in the tub, and the towel, which was obviously soiled by ish of another guest. Then we were notified by voicemail several hours later by Mauricio that we would be charged linen fees.
No.
The Stratford could be a nice family place, but years of Ashland patronage must have made them hard and stale and rude and money-grubbing. So sad.
