Cambodia is finally on the tourist map and is fast becoming a prominent tropical getaway in Southeast Asia. Its Khmer culture is well known, but there’s far more to see. A short boat ride from the mainland will take you to quiet and untouched islands such as Koh Rong and Koh Kong. The legacy of Cambodia's artistic past can still be seen in the handicrafts and silverware found in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh's bustling markets, where you can discover excellent craftsmanship at excellent prices.

Most travellers to Cambodia will cite the iconic Angkor Wat as one of the reasons they pack their bags for the country. The beautiful and extensive temple ruins of Angkor are a highlight of Siem Reap. Cambodia also has a rather morbid history because of the Khmer Rouge regime, but thankfully the country is a far friendlier place today.
