bad experience
We returned from a trip that lasted about 24 hours of airline travel. We walked into the room and it did not smell good and was very unclean. The carpet had stains and the bathroom was filthy. We were afraid if we stayed there we would pick up something like bed bugs. We turned around and left and handed the room key to the desk clerk. Then we drove 3 hours home arriving at 2:30 am. I am swearing off La Quinta if this is going to be the quality of them, no thank you. This was like a Motel not a Hotel. Paying $218 a night for a dirty room is very unacceptable, with cigarette stains around the tub.

Concert stay
The rooms were clean, and they smelled clean. We went for a concert at the isleta amphitheater and picked this hotel for it's price and location. Having stayed at one of the other more "higher end" ones in the near vicinity for previous concerts, I will definitely try to book here before the others. The staff was also super friendly! It is a older hotel and the furniture is a bit outdated but the friendliness and cleanliness definitely make up for it!
